MVUAS Steering Committee: Call for Capacity Development Proposals
The Metro Vancouver Urban Aboriginal Strategy (MVUAS) Steering Committee is pleased to announce a 'Call for Capacity Development Proposals' for Metro Vancouver based Aboriginal Non-profit Organizations.
In order increase the capacity of non-profit urban Aboriginal organizations to deliver their services to the Metro Vancouver urban Aboriginal community, organizations have the opportunity to apply for funding from the MVUAS to assist their organization in development of the 7 following areas:
- Board development;
- Staff development;
- Sustainability planning;
- Transitional planning,
- Facilities planning;
- Fundraising and
- Cultural needs (improving an organization’s ability to effectively deal with cultural sensitivities associated with providing services to the Aboriginal community).
The closing date for applications is Monday, December 6, 2010 - 4 PM for projects starting in January 2011 and ending on or before March 31, 2011. All project activities must be completed and all project funds must be expended by March 31, 2011.
